Obituary of Charles Lynn Cosper

Charles Lynn Cosper, 69, Holt, Missouri, passed away Friday, March 5, 2021. He was born January 21, 1952 in Pampa, Texas to Charles George and Norma Jean (Like) Cosper. Charles, known by his friends as Dusty, was a graduate of Union Star High School in Union Star, Missouri. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Ag Science from School (College) of the Ozarks in Point Lookout, Missouri. He worked in livestock management for 20 years at Park View Farms, Lathrop, Missouri, and then worked at Gage’s Fertilizer and Grain in Stanberry, Missouri. Charles was a dedicated father to his two children and exceedingly proud of his grandchildren. Charles spent most of his time outdoors when he was able. He enjoyed hunting and fishing when time allowed. He was exceedingly talented with repairing almost anything. He was a life-long learner and enjoyed reading throughout his life. He especially enjoyed reading Westerns, with Louis L’Amour being one of his favorite authors. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Patricia Rasberry, Catherine Cosper and Sandra Pflugradt. Survivors include his children, Charles Nathan Cosper and Sarah Parrish; grandchildren, Hayden Page, Gracelyn Parrish, Amelia Cosper, and Dylan Cosper. In accordance with the family’s wishes and in consideration of community health, private family services will be held. Cremation under the direction of Simplify Cremations & Funerals.
