Obituary of Connie Louise White

Connie Louise White, 69, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2022. On May 6, 1952 she was born in Kansas City, Missouri to Herbert and Thelma (Edwards) Hodge. She graduated from Lafayette High School in 1970. As one of the oldest of ten, she raised her siblings through love and care. She was their rock that they could depend on and always knew she would be there for them. On March 21, 1970 she married her high school sweetheart, Archie White. They immediately began their family that grew into more than either of them could dream. She was an honorary mom to many. She loved hosting and attending family get togethers that included board games, laughter and food. Archie and Connie did more than just family events as they were strong members of the racing community. They taught their daughters how to enjoy being at a dirt track and being true fans of the sport. Connie was very active with her grandchildren which included softball, basketball, wrestling, track, New G concerts, graduations, birthday parties, gender reveals, baby & wedding showers and weddings, which are just a few things to name. She was adamant about teaching her grandsons how to cook and spending quality time with her granddaughters going on girl day outings. She always made sure everyone was included. Later in life she discovered a love for the Red Hat Society out of Cameron, MO. After losing her husband of 36 years, she found another great love in a man that the family already knew and loved, Mr. Gleavie Callen. She spent the last 13 years with him and his son, Kenny. Her girls couldn’t have asked for anyone more perfect for her to spend the remaining of her years. The last six weeks were hard on Mom, her three girls and the whole family. She went to what she thought was a follow-up appointment for tests ran in December. It was at that time, she discovered there was more to her not feeling well than what they originally thought. We weren’t ready for what followed. After making the hardest decision from a place of compassion she passed while being surrounded by many who loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Timothy Brady and Darrell Hodge; brothers-in-law, Bob Stark and John White; sister-in-law, Mona Hodge. Survivors include her partner and lifelong best friend, Gleavie Callen, her three girls, Amanda Heckman (Ken), Carrie Heineman (Dereck) and Robbie White; bonus child, Kenny Callen; grandchildren, Trevor White (Abbie), Tyler Heckman, Lake Sisk (Brittany), Alexis Sisk (Anie), Dereck Heineman, Jr., River Sisk (BayLee), Ellie Wattenbarger, Sebastian Heineman, Logan Still (Alex), Raine Still, Mikayla Collins (Chase), Cora Still and Hope Still.
